Gifted and talented and Grammar

My daugther is just about to start at grammar school and she is currently on the Gifted and talented register.

I would pressume that most of the girls at grammar school would be on te gifted and talented list. Though they have to find the top 5-10% of students.

So does this mean a different rule applies for grammar school as I see this as unfair.

It's the top 10% in each particular school ...
