Bond How to Do NVR p 40 q 4 in my book appears to be about Similarities - Position, and shows 5 pictures of an isosceles triangle and circle. Is this the q you are referring to?
The question has 2 circles, one half-circle and an open angle with arrows (not in that order), so I don't think we are talking about the same question. If anyone can shed any light on this mystery question, I'd be really grateful. I should probably point out that this is from a new 2007 edition book.
I think i have just worked it out.
the sequence goes circle- semicircle -question mark- arrows - circle.
if you look at the degrees that is 360 180 ? 45 360.
so the missing shape is the one with 90 degees ie the right angled triangle!
Thanks very much: I would never have come up with this! I think you have to be a bit of a lateral thinker to spot that this is all about angles and radii when you only actually 'see' one angle in the four shapes presented. (Or am I just a bit thick?)
yes it was an obscure one!
i think one thing i learnt from the bond how to do nvr is to look at angles like for example the clock faces with different times but the hands are all at a certain angle such as 90 degrees.
now all i need is ds to become a "lateral thinker" as well!
