Wording of email / letter

Post by MJMoore »

Can anyone tell me the actual wording of the email / letter? At a school meeting, we were told to be very careful, as it's not very clearly worded, and some parents last year thought their child had passed when they hadn't.

I can't believe it would be that confusing, so I'm just wondering what it actually says?

The first two lines of my letter read:

"We are writing to let you know the outcome of the Kent assessment your child took in September.
(childs name) has been assessed suitable for admission to a kent grammar school..."

Hope this helps.

I was told it will say something similar to...

Your child has been found suitable/selective for grammar school education
Your child has been found suitable for high school education

Hope this is helpful.

Hi rachel's mum, do we know for sure that the schools definitely have the results now?

Has anyone ever heard of a headteacher giving out results before the official notification?

I don't know for sure but I know they get them around 2 weeks before in order to appeal. I think its more than their jobs are worth to reveal infor before the official date, sadly!!***

Two years ago the head teacher at our local primary gave us all the results 4 weeks early! Naughty Naughty!
He said he didn't care because he wasn't in kent!

The schools definitely have the results now, yesterday all the books were taken from every child who sat the 11 + in my daughter’s school, presumably to disguise which child the school are appealing for!

It's all so unnerving!
