Can someone kindly pm or post the option/ topics the children where asked to write about this year? This is to give an idea of what could be asked and for pratice.

Thanks

They always seem to have a choice of a handful titles in the Kent test - either a letter of piece of descriptive writing. Previous years have included for example a piece of writing discussing whether Jamie Oliver's new school dinners are a good idea.

I know my DS said there were about 6 titles to choose from and he chose to write about "the storm". I think he said one of the other titles was something like "your favourite day out". Sounds like there's a broad range of topics to choose from.

My daughter tells me she chose the subject:-

"It was a while before I realised my cat could talk"

She thinks there were about 8 to choose from but can't be any more specific than that.

Dear inspired2win

I remember asking my DD the topics and she could only remember 4 of the topics. There was 6 topics all together, so I made anote of it.

1. The Storm
2. Moving Houses
3. I don't know what that noise was .....
4. The new pupils

I hope this helps as these are the 4 topics she rememeber. She chose the Moving Houses.
Thanks... 2010mum

My dd wrote about 'The Burglary'.

Typical - she can never spell that word!

Oh dear, my son said he wrote about something to do with what rules he would change at school if he could or similar I can't quite remember but it doesn't sound like that would fit into any of the categories that have been mentioned!!!!!! :?

My DS thinks that 3 & 6 are the same topic. It was "At first I didn't know what woke me, but then I heard it again". He thinks the final topic was to do with a diary but not sure. :?:
