Please can someone clarify the order of rank from:
Lieutenant, Sergeant, Colonel, Corporal and Major?
This questions about which is in the middle has come up twice in our practice papers.

Sadly on my desk I have some index cards where I record families of words as they pop up, for example hand tools, religious buildings and people, ranks!, obscure colours, trees, flowers, fish, writing tools, boats, transport parking areas, landscape types, units of time, garden tools, building trades, fasteners, etc. Would any one like to add a few more.
