about yr5 sats

Post by Guest »

hi could anybody suggest how it is been decided that which student is going to take test for which level in yr 5 SATs. i mean is it upto teachers to choose the level for pupils? if yes then what if they for example choose level 4b in maths for someone but that child is capable of scoring 5s? can they ask that child to take another test for higher level? and one more thing SATs Maths practice papers by LETTS cover levels 3-5. does it mean upto 5c(i assume lowest in 5s) or 5a(highest). i don't know if it makes any sense or not, it just came in my mind i thought there are exams ect going to be in 3-4 months time so it would be useful for me to have upto date information and it might help others as well.thanks.

There is one paper covering all levels - the number of marks the child achieves decides the level.

More information on:

There is further information on the index on the left of this page. I do think Primary schools could share this information more!
