Travel from central Sevenoaks to Skinners

Post by JJ123 »

Hi, Can anyone advise me how easy it is to commute from central Sevenoaks to Skinners. I understand that the transport is not paid for but is there still a school coach direct to the school or is it one or two public buses. Also can anyone tell me how long the commute is. I`ve heard that it`ll mean leaving at 7.30 and not home til 5 is this exagerated.

Trying to decide between Judd and Skinners and really liked the latter but worried about distance from home. Know i`m worrying but can anyone help me here. : thankyou for your help

I thought that the boys took the train to High Brooms and walked from there.

If you google search "travel to The Skinner's School" it comes up with bus routes from all over the area and gives approx journey times. Hope it helps.

Long walk from high brooms...
possible to walk from Tunbridge wells I'm sure that would be quicker than HB.
I have a feeling the 402 comes from sevenoaks as a school bus and goes through Hildenborough, then Tonbridge then onto Twells.
It comes past us in Tonbridge at 8.05ish.

Thankyou so much will look into the 402 route and times. The walk from High brooms looks too far especially when first starting. Does make Judd a much better commute from Sevenoaks though.

The walk from TWells station is about 15 minutes - lots of kids walk from there.

The walk from High Brooms is about 25 minutes - probably better for TWBGS.
