Just wondering if anyone else has come across this?
my son has this thing about wearing exactly the same clothes for every exam, a particular pair of trousers - with a hole in one leg - an old england football top and the same hoody. he says he feels more comfortable like this so i've not said anything. he also has to have exactly the same breakfast and take the same snack - even the same brand of bottled water
is this normal?
how can i persuade him to dress more smartly for the kes exam?

Hi,
So long as he is not like this about everything, I wouldn't worry about it. He is probably just being superstitious and feels 'luckier' sticking to the same routine. My son always wants to wear the same knackered old trainers in competitions as he believes he performs better in them! Just leave him to it.
Don't worry about not impressing kes with his appearance, the kids turn up wearing all sorts from jacket and tie, tracksuits and what you have described. All they are interested in is how he performs in the exam.
If he gets an interview though, he may need smarten up !

Um, how strange my son is exactly the same! He has to wear a T shirt his dad bought him, a hoodie his sister gave him for his birthday and jeans I got him.. My Job is to make sure his "uniform" is washed and ready for each test!
If he is lucky enough to get an interview at KES will have to go on a shopping trip!

Like Dickie Bird, he kept the mood friendly because people repected him
