No you don't. Like I said to my DS, even though he didn't pass he did a damn sight better than all the children in his class who didn't take the test. They will never, ever know if they could have done it. And that would bug me for the rest of my life.

I told him to hold his chin up on Monday and say to everyone, "Well, at least I had a go!"

And I know of one child in his class who was told to sit for Pates. He is top in everything and he told his parents he didn't want to and they said OK!

You've supported your child and that's your job and you've done it really well
