How amny of you take full time care of your DC's pet?

Post by wanting the best »

DC wanted a pet but because of certain health issues we said no. After a lot of begging we relented and got 2 fish. For the first few weeks it was alright but now when school work has increased i am the only one who looks after them. DC still loves them and talks with them :) :) but the messy jobs are still left to me  . I wondered how many of mums & dads out there do the same.

I fear the answer will be 100% of the parents take care of the pet!

yup, come on, WTB, silly question!
(although it's said that the wise person only asks the question to which s/he already knows the answer)

Nope, absolutely not - we made it very plain that if they had any animals at all they were their responsibilities.

And so it has been :D

DD's takes responsibility for both animals (dog and bird - but have many over the years) and they do everything bar walk the dog, but only because he is such an eager walker and so powerful he pulls grown men over and it would be dangerous for them to walk him - they do however go out on the walks with him
