Cut off for first offers - Slough
If anyone has info on the scores that have achieved first round offers for any of the Slough grammars... could you please let me know.
It will give an indicator of the starting point for each school.
Thanks

My DS has been offered a place in LGS with a score of 121, his friend also been offered a place with a score of 118. His other friends who scored 117 have been offered places at HGS.
So the cut off for LGS the first round was 118.
I also have good info that HGS have offered down to 115 for the first 70 places. On the distance criteria they have gone out a radius of 2.5 miles from the school.
No info on SGS.
Hope this helps

Cut Off for Slough
In response to Chad's querry my DS got an offer from HGS with 117. Last two days have been significantly worse than any exam I took. Not helped by online system failing at the first hurdle

Re: Cut off for first offers
Only me! Couldn't keep me away
A fellow mum told me (after speaking to the Head) that HGS offered the top 50 places to score 121 and above... the next 70 were strictly within 2.8 mile radius of school... so looks like HGS now a 'catchment' school with higher requirements than Langley! There were issues about HGS being a sports college and unable to rally together teams as kids lived too far away to participate in after school activities.

Thanks for that...... great info for this year. That makes the catchment area quite small.
