North London Collegiate School - waiting list

Post by oldfogeynow »

How is NLCS's waiting list moving?

Anyone want to share any information on which waiting list rank has been offered so far?

Prospects for the coming weeks and months and how far down the list they went last year?

Many thanks.

NLCS waiting list

Post by northlondondad »

We know two families who have definitely turned down NLCS and another who may well have.

Don't know about the waiting list, I'm afraid. The Head, Mrs McCabe, did say that they would settle for 60 acceptances out of the 70 original offers. What has the Admissions Office said?

If it helps, I know of seven girls who have turned NLCS down.

Northlondondad & Mark Time,

Do you know if any of those who turned down NLCS, did so only after they were subsequently offered Grammar schools in the recent re-allocation movements in the State school waiting lists ?

Or did they turn down NLCS before the recent state school re-allocations ie were they offered Grammar schools from the onset ? Or it could be that they chose other Indie schools instead of NLCS ?

All seven turned NLCS within a couple of days of getting offers.

NLCS waiting list - when offers turned down

All of them were turned down in favour one grammar school. All three received offers from grammars on National Allocation day, 2 March.
