A milkman and a baker deliver to the same house.

In a period of 28days, the milkman calls every second day and the baker every third day. They meet at the house twice in the first 7 days.

How many more times do they meet during the 4 week period?

Yoyo

I can see how they met after the first 7 days but I am confused about how they met twice in the first 7days? Is it they are starting somewhere in the middle? as in my diagram its only my day 7 and 13 when they meet twice in a 7day period.

Also what type of question is this?

You have to assume that they meet on day 1 else you couldn't calculate every 2nd /3rd day?

This one has come up before on a few occasions - this was the most recent, and WP posted a very helpful diagram to explain it:

I wouldn't expect you to be able to find it though, Sherry - you have to know what you are looking for on the Forum fairly precisely when you do a search.

Three more times.

This is how I did it.
Week 1: Assuming that the milkman and baker both came on Monday. They both met again on Sunday.
Week 2: They only met on Sat
Week 3: They met only on Fri
Week 4:They met only on Thur.

Did I get it right? Or should I get DD to help?
