KS3

I think it is year 9 that children take KS3, feel free to correct me though. What level is the national average at this stage in maths and english? I know it is 2B for year 2 and 4B for year 6 does that make it 5A/6C for year 9?

Have found on wikipedia KS3 is 5 or 6 average level!

i know at most grammars where i live they seem to complete key stage 3 in 2 years, rather than the tradtional 3 years , so by the time they are in year 9 they are starting on their options. :)

"Level 6 is the new level 5".

This phrase/slogan has been knocking around KS3 for a couple of years. Basically, schools have mainly achieved level 5 at KS3, so the new target is level 6.

You can guess what next years slogan will be...
