Tutor for dyslexic and dyspraxic child
I am looking for a tutor for my nearly 12 year old who will hopefully soon take the 12+ test.
He is dyslexic, General Ability 84th percentile but Spelling 14th percentile and also dyspraxic (free writing speed 9th percentile). Ed Psych says his strengths make him good GS candidate and he REALLY wants this.
So, I need urgent help to speed him up for a test soon. Any recommendations? We live in South Bucks but would travel a fair way for a good tutor.
Many thanks!

Re: Tutor for dyslexic and dyspraxic child
I spoke to South Bucks Dyslexic Association who gave me a number of tutors to try.
They cost between £25 - £40 per hour and I would say the standard varies (we tried two). Most see your child after school but one I contacted wanted me to take my DS out of school which I said was not possible.
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
South Buckinghamshire Dyslexia Association. General Enquiries: 01494 534872. Available: 8am to 8pm. Area: Buckinghamshire.
Hope this helps.
