I've heard the rumour too but no one seems to know where it started from...

Wow really? Does that mean they are scrapping the Greenwich ruling? Where did you hear the rumour?

yes for a while - then if you think about it the score requirement will fall if they have to fill with kids from local area only and not from out of catchment.supermummy wrote:that will be our house prices through the roof then!

Why would they want to change the arrangements?
Re: Tiffins for Kingston children only in 18 mnths!
I wonder if its related to the possible loss of a promised new school near Tiffin Girls'?
Kingston was due to get a new secondary school to help it cope with a lack of places in the borough (predicted to get worse in coming years). The government's list indicated the new school might not now go ahead (although the lists seemed a bit vague / subject to change)
I must admit this all seems to be rumour at this stage as there is nothing in local papers except to say that they are cancelling the 801 bus route that takes some children to Tiffins.

"The policy for September 2011 has no changes from our previous policy except that ’In-year’ admissions now need to be applied for through you home Local Authority."
