Practice tests for Bucks

Post by mummytroubles »

Sorry to bore on about this but having coached DS a few years back I'm now on DD. I'm a bit lost about the situation with NFER practice papers - these were always the pack of four that traditionally one left til last cos they were most like the 'real thing' but with the last 5 question ruled off if I remember. I understand from here that there's been some changes. Can someone give me an idiot proof guide to what I should be buying to do with DD just before the test. ie what is the 'new' NFER ie what does it say on the packet (colour, name etc) and can I order them from on here? Sorry to be lazy about finding out this elsewhere on here but it's two weeks into the holidays and I'm very, very tired and my head hurts.

Dear Mummytroubles

The relevant ttests can be found using the following link.

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/books/ ... D30%23b397

Dont forget to practice HIKNOS [as identified by IPS] as they only contain 15 types of questions.

See the sticky below for VR question types:

The NFER practice papers only contain types 1-15, but the real NFER test in Bucks contains all 21 types, thus the comment to practice HIKNOS types as well.
Sorry, can't tell you if IPS paper covers all 21 types or not.

IPS papers cover all 21 types, with the exception of the short 10 minute papers, which don't include Type Z.
