can someone explain Berkshire grammar system to me
Is it the same test used by all Berkshire grammars?
Are there enough grammar places for the top 25% of the population (if they all toook the test and were in the top 25%)
Do all schools just take a basic pass or doe some slelect on score in the test? (superselectives)

Re: can someone explain Berkshire grammar system to me
Hi Mystery
There is no Berkshire Grammar sysmem as such, just a few schools who have ratained the grammar system. Some of these have restricted/partial catchment systems but all are effectively superselective in that there are so few of them. Definitely not enough places for 25%, probably not enough for 5%. You might want to take a look at Bucks though, as the system there is county wide and is (I think) designed to take the top 25%.
