Maths Preparation

Hi,

Which books, would yo advise for the maths component of the 11+ exams ? I currently have the CGP maths books for Key stage 2 for level 5 and I am using this to help prepare him.

The preparation that you need will depend on which area you are in as the exams differ between regions.

H,i we are using Peter Robson books, which we think are great because they give clear examples which are easy to follow and then have questions on each subject which get increasingly difficult. We (and I mean we as maths was never my strong point) are currently looking at fractions, multiplying and dividing them and the book is invaluable. Also have used the AE tuition books which are good as well, providing examples and questions. My DS looks at both and then choses questions and examples from each. The books can be bought via amazon or the booksite here. Hope this is helpful.
