Unsuitable people at local bus stop!

Post by CandyPlum1 »

Local bus stop has attracted the wrong kind of people, from rough schools swear, shout, and smoke and they are only 15! Twice this year buses have refused to stop them due to misbehaviour and intimidation, I am concerned for my child I can't do anything and when I phone to complain to the local school the pupils are from, they say they will deal with it yet nothing has happened. I can't pick up my child due to long work hours and the only other option and they are the only person in their form who gets this bus at this particular bus stop as most people go to another stop. What should I do?
Please, i really need to know! :'( My child is getting really upset every day on the bus. They are my youngest child and are in year 7; their older sister goes to another school so I can't get them to look after my child either.

is there another stop or another bus she could use is it a school bus or a scheduled bus, if the latter maybe she could get a later one? the behaviour is pretty awful on school buses whatever part of the country

you have tried speaking to the school concerned so not much more you can do.

edited to add:
from first reading i assumed you were talking about school bus at hometime, now not sure whether you are referring to local bus stop generally, are the teenagers going to and from school? there is really not a lot the school can do about behaviour outside school other than keep reinforcing good behaviour message during school time.

I have changed the title of this thread to sentence case. The use of capital letters on internet forums is considered to be shouting.

I had a similar problem with my dd. Unfortunately a lot of teenagers seem to think it is cool to behave like this. In actual fact the kids turned out to be ok once my dd had 'acclimatised' to them, but she found it quite intimidating initially. We checked the bus routes and I began dropping her off a couple of stops further on so she could board the bus with a friend. Only took an extra few mins and made a huge difference.

If Forum membership cost £100 a go I think we would have sympathy for two people sharing an user-name on here. As it is, membership is completely free, and all you need is your individual email addresses.

Please could one of you re-register under a separate user-name.

One of you continues to use the current user-name of CandyPlum1. The other needs to register under a different user-name using their own email address.

It is exactly the same process as when you first registered.
