North of London Schools

Post by Teea »

Hi,
Does anyone have any views about St. Helen's or Northwood College? Are they both academic and have good pastoral care? Are there any others that are in that area that are worth considering?
Thank you!

Hi, I have no personal experince of either, but the grapevine locally is that they are strong pastorally and reasonably academic. Others not a million miles away are Notting Hill & Ealing and Heathfields. Notting Hill is said to be very much on the up since the arrival of a new head just over 2 years ago.

Teea ,

I have had family members who have gone to both of these schools .St Helens in my humble opinion is the more intense and academic per se but Northwood College I would say is the more "rounded " with fantastic facilities in the performing arts and sports .....Again if you are considering either of these for your DD then I would also have a look at NLCS which comfortably surpasses both of these in the league tables .If thats not your thing then certainly look no further than these two .
