We don't have much hope for daughter to get into Parmiter's (figured out this 11+ stuff too late) but wondered if we would find out how she did if she doesn't make the grade?

Wondering if it's worth even taking the exam now. At least if we know her score she could target the January exams better.

well it doesn't really matter about other exams, we just want to know will Parmiter's send us the scores for the test on the 20th November, and when?

Yes you find out your score if you don't get a place at Parmiters on allocation day in March. You find out your ranking on the waiting list and actual score on the tests. If you get a place you can ring admissions and find out your score.

Don't lose hope Blahblahblah. You have just over a week to go and a lot can be achieved in a week. If you did a Maths and a VR paper each day, perhaps one in the morning and one in the evening you would see your marks go up just in one week. Do you have plenty of material? IPS have some great ten minute and six minute papers that focus on weak areas. I think you should go head down and give it your best shot and anything you do now will stand you in great stead for indies in Jan and Cats tests in September. Good Luck. pm me if you like. DG

Which schools have you put on your CAF or is Parmiters the only school you are interested in? Even if your DD didn't achieve a high enough score for Parmiters then she might score high enough to get a place at one of the other excellent SW Consortium schools with specialist academic places (St Clement Danes, Rickmansworth, Queens'?)

Thanks, I expect we will do the exam anyway, it's just someone told me we would only find out the score if we were offered a place.

I'd really like to know how she did and so would she, no matter what the outcome, after her efforts to prepare. She's bright but teachers said she doesn't test as well as she answers in class, so we decided to do this preparation and test as an exercise, who knows might get lucky!

We are lucky and have acceptable non-selective options too, so I feel a bit silly asking a dumb question on here now! My heart goes out to the poor mums and dads (and kids ) in and all-or-nothing situation on here. Great forum, thanks for the help.

I have my dd's consortium score from last year even though we put it third so we were not offered a place and I will get younger dd's score this year as well. CAT's are Cognitive Assessment Tests which are done in Y7 or I think Parimeters do them before they get there. As they are Maths, VR and NON VR all the work you do now for entrance exams will help with those. The forum shop does next day delivery if you need more material and there are papers you can download right now. DG

You have to ask. Some people dont want to know their scores. Every year people complain about DAO sending them all three scores and exact ranking. Some parents choose not to tell their dc's. We really wanted to know and were really glad that we could find out. DG
