11 plus essay

I have heard the essay part of the 11 plus is to be dropped. Has anyone else heard anything? I have looked on the South Wilts site and nothing has changed. There is no mention of an essay on BW site (but I don't know if it has always been like this?)

Both schools are doing a consultation about dropping the whole border zone process inc the essay. If you look under admissions and 2012 consultation on either BWS or SW websites, it is all there.

You're right, the link doesn't work. That would tend to limit the scope of a consultation!

Hi am I going mad or has this consultation disappeared - have they decided to keep the essay in?

The consultation will have closed earlier this year. The decision and admissions policy should be then published on the website.
