Year 7 streaming

Does anyone know if our DC's will be streamed when they go into year 7 and if so would it be based on SAT's, 11+ results or a separate assessment? I hear different things from different people.

I would imagine it depends on the school

I know AGS do not stream until YR8 and onward's, I should imagine alot of school's in Bucks will differ.

DC's school only streams in maths from year 8 (I think!).

Yes.. thought it would probably differ between schools....anyone know about AHS?

I quite like the idea of waiting till yr 8...or at least a little while; DS attends our local upper and was assessed/streamed for maths/english/science straight away (not that this was a problem). Many DC's willl be used to being in top sets at primary and this will be different at GS so it's got me wondering...
