Travel from Bromley to Newstead

Post by tests »

My DD would be travelling from Bromley to Newstaed. The bus stop for routes 208/358/336 is very close to us and Bromley South station is 15 minutes walk to us. I believe most of the children from Bromley take the train to Orpington. I was wondering if that would be better or the bus route as we are very close to the bus stop. Your views would be highly appreciated. Is there anyone whose DD takes the bus route.

If you time it right then she can take the bus which will stop at the station and then walk with girls from the station to the school. This way she gets the best of both worlds!

What time does NW start in the morning? That would be something to consider. I think the 208 is quite frequent, but how far is the walk from Crofton Road to NW? Also, the bus would be free but you'd need to pay in the region of about £40 per half term for the train I think from Bromley South.

Hi Mungo,

I think they have to be in the form rooms by 8:25 at NW. Crofton Road is about 10minutes walk. Are you considering 208 bus for your DD. I may consider the same if DD has company. There are a lot of girls taking the train from Bromley South but am not aware how many take 208 or 61 bus routes.
