If I have the same question

A group of triangles arranged as a square changes to, a group of squares arranged as a triangle.

So, a group of crosses arranged as a circle changes to, a group of circles arranged as a cross? Answer (a).

We are also stuck on a question in the More fourth papers published by Bonds... I am dreading the fifth papers if they are more difficult than these!!

Does anyone know how to do the question 49 of the test 3 (page 31)?

In the 1st part, you have the segment (is that the right word?) minus the dot.
e is the same shape as the shape with the dot, minus the dot.

I know what I mean, but I'm not very good at explaining it. I think it's to do with the position of the segment that has the dot, and the answer is identical to that segment but without the dot.

Yes, that's e. Thanks for your explanation, KS10; now we can 'see' it!
Not only there is the segment taken out, but there is an enlargement; option we had not thought about previoulsy so we were trying vainly to do some rotation

I am afraid my DS doesn't like my explanation for the question 6 page 35 (paper 4) -Bond more fourth papers
The answer is c and I don't understand why he doesn't see it as it is very simple: all the shapes on the left have only one 'enclosed area', while
a has 3
b has 2
c has one (so that the answer)
d has 4
e has 2.

Am I right in my explanation or wrong? May be my explanation is too simple and wrong?

Also, what is the explanation for question 36 page 40 (paper 4)?
