First, the child has to realise that you have to use the answer sheet to work out the solution. Mine just sat chewing pencil in melancholy manner...
I think this question is trying to test knowledge of prime numbers because the options are 13, 17, 19, 21 and 23. 21 is not a prime number because it is divisible by seven, so the child could imagine three plates of seven biscuits, if you're lucky!
I do think these four new papers are more tricky than the original four.
