Hurstmere Catchment etc

Post by sjhall12 »

Not wishing to be a pessimist but need to look into plan B just incase my son was not successful in the exam (lets face it about 70% wont be). Anyone have any idea of catchment size for banded 8/9 pupils and how they chose. I am aware of the usual children in care, siblings etc but do they take the top 20% of each band following the entrance test.

Anyone who has any knowledge based on last year it would be gratefully received.

As previously said my son ran out of time and sturggled a bit on Maths but found the VR relatively easy so not looking good.

Thanks

When we looked at Hurstmere a couple of years ago they put the boys into the bands and then give places on distance within each band. The Bexley admissions booklet should have the distance they went out to within each band. I haven't heard that they have changed since they introduced the system.
