DD has a cold!

Post by Desperado99 »

Rotten timing.......

We're keeping her off school today (she had a small asthma attack yesterday, due to her cold) in the vain hope that it works itself out of her system by saturday. Really don't want to have to wait for the alternative day, as we just want it done with.

Hey ho! these things are sent to try us :D

If it's any comfort, night before grammar test, DS went down with sore throat, runny nose and temperature. It was also firework night.

Thanks :)

She seems to be over the worst of it (fingers crossed!), a day off seems to have done the trick so she should be able to go back to school tomorrow and have a day back with her mates before the big day. :D

Middle son had sinusitus when he sat the eleven plus. It was touch and go as to whether we would take him or not. We did. When we parked outside the school I dosed him up with calpol, sprinkled him with holy water (it's an Irish Catholic thing) and said a prayer. I think the adrenaline kicked in, he really perked up and seemed fine before the exam and fine when I went to pick him up. He rapidly went down hill in the car and spent most of the following day in bed. He got his top choice. Phew! Such bad luck isn't it when they are unwell. Good luck to your DD I am sure she will be fine.
