Any supplementary forms for DCGS/RGS?

Post by svg123 »

Hi,

Just thought I ask this.
Do I need to submit any supplementary form for DCGS/RGS as we do for some other Grammar Schools, like - QE Barnet?
I don't recall any mention of supplementary forms during open days.

Thanks in advance.

No, none of the Bucks grammars require a supplementary form. (There are two upper schools that do - Waddesdon and St. Bernards, both of which are faith schools.)

There may be paperwork for RGS if you are applying for a boarding place.

I thought that too, andy, but oddly enough there doesn't seem to be - the only reference I can find is on the RGS website, where it says simply:
Can a boarding place be obtained through the normal Bucks testing procedure?

Those who have put boarding at RGS as a preference on the County Common Application Form and have qualified, will be offered a boarding place, subject to the stated oversubscription criteria.
The boarding places are not even mentioned in the BCC Schools Directory!

Thanks.
DCGS has a different address requirement to other GS in BCC.
Does anyone know how do they verify the address? Anyone got any clue?

Thanks in advance

They verify the address via utility bills etc and, I think, via the current school.

BCC pursue suspected address fraud very vigorously. I have known people to be asked for very substantial amounts of evidence indeed - bank statements, utility bills, child benefit letters, rental agreements, contracts for house sales, letters from solicitors, etc, etc. I cannot imagine that DCGS would be any less rigorous in verifying the 17 month residence requirement.
