Question on schoolwork presented at an appeal
I am sure a thread exists already on my question but I can't find it. We submitted maths, English and science books at our appeal which showed plenty of marking by the teachers as working at level 5. Child's handwriting is not the best BUT also not the worst. Appears from the clerk's notes that the appeal panel, specifically the chairman, have personally assessed the work rather than the teachers markings and comments. They state “the school work does not show high academic ability". Child's work shows lots of level 5 as early as March 2006. Any feedback appreciated?

I'm not sure what the ombudsman's view would be, but it could well be worth asking!
