Kings, Grantham

Post by LoobyLoo »

I've heard unofficially that due to a low cohort and low pass rate, the cut off score is anticipated to be as low as 223/224 this year. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi There
Am not sure what I think!
I think cut off has been around 225 for last couple of years.
Could it be less boys of that age in surrounding areas?
Is it because King's is now an Academy and that may put people off?
I think it will probably be tougher to get a place there over the years.
Really don't know.Maybe someone will enlighten you.
Could also be that parents from some distance away are weighing up transport costs!

Thanks lec, we've been away hence the delay in responding!
I probably didn't post very well, but what I meant was, I wondered whether anyone else had any indication as to entry level this year? We'd heard 223 but as we'reout of county, I didn't know if anyone local to the area had heard anything. Our son got 231 so we're hoping he's done enough to get in, I think I'm just being paranoid and as usual assumed the worst and expected it to be the highest year ever to get in, just because its our turn!!!! Hope that makes sense!
