I would say "A" as this is the only one that does not have lines coming from the centre of the circle.
But I am usually useless at these, so I am probably wrong!

or it could be 'e' as all the other ones have a straight line going through the centre, dividing it in half (very bad explanation,i know)

It could be A as all the others have odd number of slashes for odd number of lines & even number of slashes for even number of lines whereas A has even number of lines & odd number of slashes.

My son thinks C because all the others have odd number of slashes but C has even number of slashes.

I think A offers a more complete solution as it takes the main lines
into consideration

without reading the thread I would have picked 'e' as the others all have a 'diameter' line, but the explanations for 'a' seem feasible.

not helpful as it means more options - but my DD said 'A' as the others all have atleast one right angle formed by the lines inside the circle.

in any case, i do think the slashes are the 'distractor' on this one.

My DS & I went for 'e' but the correct answer is 'a' according to answer sheet. Now we need to establish an explanation for that 'a' option. Let's do it!

Thanks everyone.

I will go for A as well as thats the only one where the lines do not meet at the centre of the circle.
