First choices

Post by scary mum »

Often around this time of year Sally-Anne is able to post details of first preferences for the Bucks grammar schools. This was very useful to me 2 years ago as it was the first indication that DS might not get his first choice (previously boys from his school had always got into this school). He didn't, but we are very happy with his 2nd choice. Is this information available again this year?

Yes, but I haven't had time to collate it and post it! I will try to get around to it this week.

If I fail hopelessly, please bump this thread for me, scary.

Well, I have collated the numbers in a spreadsheet, but I am being driven demented by posting them in Code on the forum to make them legible!

I have passed the problem over to Dad40, who is a wiser tech owl than me, and he will hopefully sort them out for you.

If he is able to do so I will then merge it all into a new thread and add commentary.

BTW, please remember that they are not first choices - they are merely first preferences!

These are the numbers of absolute first preferences for Bucks grammars as expressed on the CAFs

Code: Select all

AGS 180 160 150
AHS 180 142 138
BHS 150 107 123
BGS 150 74 86
CGS 180 94 104
DCG 180 223 159
DCH 150 158 160

SWB 120 109 134
WHS 180 157 156
858 appeals lodged this year, with none of the appeal results included above, and no late testers either. A not dissimilar number of appeals to previous years, although possibly a little lower.

I must emphasise that this is the ROUGH GUIDE to allocations! :)
