St Albans HS has anyone heard back regarding interviews?

Post by shreeya »

My daughter didn't get through to the interview stage at Habs so just waiting anxiously to see if she gets called back for an interview from Stah! Has anyone else heard back from them?

We are also waiting to hear from them.

According to their information letter, we should hear by Mon 30th Jan at the latest. They do group interviews on 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th Feb.

Got the letter this morning. She hasn't been invited back for the interviews. Really disappointed.
Looks like she's off to the local school. Honestly feel like crying.

Dobby Socks I know it might not seem like much, but getting interviews can be abit random and rather like the lottery. Not gaining one does not mean she has failed. All the effort you've put in over the past few months, will still help her rise to the top in which ever school she goes to.

I hope you feel better soon.

Dobby socks, i really feel your pain going through your posts, it seems we mirror each in terms of our DD, we just have have to support them and hope for the best, the only thing l can suggest is the money for the indies fees, can be use for a bit of tutoring if the local school is not up to the standard we are all hoping and expecting them to be. l am sure she will be disappointed as well, but impress on her that you are very proud of her, and getting a place is like a lottery. You are really not alone.

We got a letter today too - no interview.

Even though we didn't really want St Albans, I am still surprised/disappointed - I thought the school was of similar academic standard to St Helen's...

Dobbysocks - that's really tough. Was St Albans your first choice? Where else have you applied?
