Something to do girls not choosing (or being made to do) 2 science subjects, I assume?

I worry about the anti-science bias I detect at single sex girls schools. Not sure if I'm missing something, or jumping to conclusions.

According to their curriculum double or three separate sciences are compulsory (and more or less everyone entered for Ebacc got it, so it isn't that they're failing the science). So presumably it's down to the humanities.

Interesting; presumably those doing two languages don't also do a humanities subject, and vice-versa. Or the timetable does not allow them to do one of each?

Because, via the English Bacc percentages, RHS is at the foot of the Warwickshire seconday league tables, which should make the Governors of the school really sit up and pay attention.

Quite... humantities doesn't (or didn't include RS) and didn't allow for classics / more foreign languages etc etc and also was desgined long after the kids had chosen GCSEs.

My DD's girls school has very strong science. They have proper science labs in junior school and were let loose with Bunsen burners at start of yr5 - amazingly they all still have full sets of eyebrows The GS we're aiming for is a science and maths specialist school.

(..sorry, forgot to add) - so how come Lawrence Sheriff has a 77% EBacc pass rate for the same year. What sort of advice were their year 10s given in 2008 that the Year 10s at Rugby High were not?
