Does the school find out the results before 1st March?

Post by rhubarbcrumble »

Does anyone know if the schools find out our kids' 11+ results before we do? I absolutely don't have a problem if they do, I was just curious....

Woohoo. 23 days to go. :)

Hi rhubarb - is that your favourite crumble?

I think the primary schools are informed the following day. With my eldest DS, his teacher asked him on the 1st March if he knew his results.

This time round, I opted out of the primary school from being informed of his results.

The days are certainly ticking by ....... I don't think that I thought about it yesterday ..... The snow was a great distraction!!!!

Hi Sep....yes it is....my favourite crumble!

Ok - many thanks for that.

Haha...the snow definitely distracted me yesterday from thinking about it! Oh, and the fact that my damn car wouldn't start this morning also distracted me for a bit...grrr.

Have to say, I'm very glad my girl isn't sitting this Sept. She'd only be 10 years and 3 months if that was the case. Perhaps they should re-name it the 10+?...

Hi, the only thing that springs to mind is that you will receive some sort of indication of how good or bad the result is likely to be.

All sorts of thoughts keep popping in my head. One minute, I hope he hasn't passed so that he can go to to Secondary School with his friends (I do wonder if this is me preparing for worst case scenario!) and the next I am hoping that he will do as well as his older brother. To have two DSs at CRGS would be a primary school record!

Hurray up 23 days .........

The grammar schools certainly know before hand. DD's pack from CCHS arrived on allocation day!

Can I opt out of school knowing the results now or is it too late?
