DIY 11+ Tutoring
Hi, My DS is in year 5, I have only just found out that 11+ assessments for grammar schools will be taken in Sept 2012.
My DS needs to greatly improve on comprehension and comprehension skills!!!!!. Any ideas!!
We are currently working through Bond 9-10 English-averaging 80%. Should I do further third papers?
Maths, he is averaging 60-70% in ISEB papers.
NVR & VR-we are working through the Bond third papers then I plan to start the practice papers as we do not have very much time.
Please HELP!!

Re: DIY 11+ Tutoring
Hello
Don't panic its 7 months to go!
We are working through the Bond books too - my child has a very short attention span so we did the placement test and the "how to guides" and are now doing 1 x ten minute test daily and a couple of full papers per week. I think our major challenge is going to be keeping him focused to the end of the test rather than the content.
A couple of weeks ago I too had a major panic but we now have a coloured coded chart (sad I know!) but both he and I are a bit more chilled.
I would say that a steady 80% at this stage it pretty good going so keep up the good work.
