1st March 2012 Allocation Profile

Post by Sally-Anne »

And here we are:

Code: Select all

AGS All applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment), rule 4 (siblings) and some allocated under rule 6 (distance) to 18.511 miles.
AHS All applicants offered.
BHS All timely applicants offered and some late applicants under rule c (catchment) to a distance of 7.281 miles.
BGS All applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment), rule 4 (siblings) and some allocated under rule 6 (distance) to 13.509 miles.
CGS All applicants offered.
DCG Some applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment) to a distance of 6.069 miles.
DCH All applicants offered under rule 2 {4} (catchment siblings) and some allocated under rule 2 (catchment) to 7.667 miles.
JHG All applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment), rule 4 (siblings) and some allocated under rule 6 (distance) to 13.936 miles.
RGS All applicants offered under rule 2 {4} (catchment siblings) and some allocated under rule 2 (catchment) to 9.836 miles.
RLS All applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment), rule 4 (siblings) and some allocated under rule 6 (distance) to 10.721 miles.
SHF All applicants offered
SWB All applicants offered under rule 2 (catchment), rule 4 (siblings) and some allocated under rule 6 (distance) to 6.389 miles.
WHS All applicants offered under rule b {c} (catchment siblings) and some allocated under rule b (catchment) to 6.832 miles.
My instinct is that AGS and BHS will go to "All Offered" in the next few rounds.

There is, as far as I can tell, always some movement in the BGS list. My crystal ball says that it could just go to All Offered, based on past allocation distances. It moved by 3 miles last year.

Does anyone have a quick link to that distance measurement thing mentioned recently? Or was that only from 2013 admissions?
What tool do I use to check how far we are from a school in Bucks?

Please can you advice as to when the next round would be and why you suspect AGS might be all offered when that occurs?

Thanks, Sally-Anne! :)

It's very hard not to get excited about all of these assumptions, so for now I will continue with my poker-face in front of DS. :|

Transport Direct, munch. Instructions are on this page: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/school ... n-profiles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Instinct and "past performance" - take a look at the numbers on the link I have posted above for munch.

Thanks SA...we are within the distance shown for BGS if I have done it correctly although not sure why it gives over an hour to get there when it is actually abour 20 mins.

That is interesting - we are less than half a mile from SWB which I already knew, but did not realise that JHGS was so close (3.9 miles) and only a 16 minute door to door journey on the bus. Obviously helps that we appear to have the right bus stop outside our new front door!

Lets hope that Bucks CC use this as their distance checker, from the details given (by car) my friend's DC (OOC) would be within the current allocations for AGS! < fingers crossed emoticon >
