Allocation Results
My daughter did not get a place at grammar school So, how do I know is she is on the waiting list? And if she is on the waiting list how far up or down is she? She achieved 122 (121 pass mark) for Bucks. We were hoping she would get a place.
Congratulations to everyone whose child got their preffered school. Great work by parents and kids. Well Done.

Re: Allocation Results
We have applied for Slough Consortia but she did not do well for the exams. We are appealing there. We also applied for Bucks where she scored 122 but have just realised that we are 13.8 miles away ans the cut off is at 13.059 miles ... gutted
Now have to wait for the Slough appeal which is on 26th April.

If you are so close to the cut off (is it BGS?) I would think you would get a place later (see other Bucks threads from today).

The current Allocation Profile for BGS is 13.59 miles, but I feel fairly sure that it will move far enough in due course to deliver a place to a child who lives 13.8 miles away.Desperate_Parents wrote:We also applied for Bucks where she scored 122 but have just realised that we are 13.8 miles away ans the cut off is at 13.059 miles ... gutted

Re: Allocation Results
Well, we had a pleasant surprise when we received the allocation letter from our LA. My daughter has now got an offer at BGS due to last minute alteration
That is one heacache less for us as we are appealing for the Slough Consortia which was our preffered choice.
I hope there will be more good news from fellow furm members.

HI
I hope you dont mind me joining this thread. We live just over 19 miles from BGS...do we have any chances at all?? even a tiny glimmer of hope will help us in this very long waiting game.
Any information is appreciated
thanks

Hello mumofthree. I guess you can keep your fingers crossed. It is a waiting game and you can always appeal.
