Anyone know what kind of places and distances pupils have been allocated places from on 1 March this year please?

Has this been answered already somewhere else or has everyone ignored you :( ?
Anyway for what it's worth it's got as far as the Tesco estate in Sevenoaks, and I haven't heard of anyone who didn't get in from our school so could be much further.
Thinking of appealing to them instead of TWGSB on the grounds of sex discrimination. :)

Well if Kent does get its first mixed grammar in Sevenoaks, then there's no reason why Weald shouldn't start the ball rolling earlier is there?

Watch out if you're applying to Weald of Kent thinking your DD can do Japanese!

Word is they're dropping Japanese - and this year's current year 9 have been told there aren't enough takers to make GCSE viable for them !

(This from a school with a "Language Specialism" - do these specialisms actually mean anything ??)

No not any more. I think there are some language specialist schools where you can only do one language at GCSE ...... other than English that is.
