Late applications?

Late applications?
Without trying to upset anyone does anyone know if it is possible to apply to the southend grammars now, even though they were not on the original application?

Yes, we did two years ago and had a place at Westcliff offered before the end of March. This does of course mean that people who put it on their CAF form and just missed a place see their DCs move down the waiting list not up and it does cause controversy. Essex will also have to accept late admissions this year so it is possible that will also happen to the Colchester Grammars and just possibly, if someone did better than expected, to the Chelmsford Grammars.
We phoned Southend admissions, they told us to put our request in writing to them and Essex admissions. We left it a week and then called every couple of days to check whether our results had been sent through by the CSSE. Eventually they turned up, our DS went to the top of the list and a place was offered that day.
