Sutton Grammar Schools writing topics

Post by 999 mum »

Now that the offers have been made, would it be possible for those of you whose DSs took the exam this year to post what the writing topics were? (Please   )

My DS still remembers it. It was about a playground which was going to be demolished, so they had to write an argument to the council. They could decide their own opinion, whether to demolish it or not. Hope it helps.

Its SGS. Sorry, I thought you only asked for SGS, as the subject said.

And he still remembers the other ones too. He sat for all three of them. Hopefully they were right, though. For WCGS, they had to write about their peaceful place. For Wilson, they had to write a diary about a family event. It could be real or imaginary ones.

I must choose my topic titles with better care!

Now to get DS to practise his writing.

In the previous year, my DS mentioned that the Wilson exam required them to right a letter detailing the care they are doing for a pet that a friend left him.

The other one was a letter to the council about a certain activity. I can't remember which one though.
