Late application to Grammar school?

Post by svg123 »

Hi,

My DS's friend didn't get into any of his choice of Grammar school.
Can he try for Grammar school in Bucks if a school has surplus seats available? Can anyone pls point me to the late allocation policy for CGS? I have advised them today to call the school directly to find this out. But in the meantime if anyone got this information then pls let me know. He didn't apply for 11+ testing for Bucks in the first place.

Whereas, a couple of children from his class who applied for 11+ testing but failed to score 121 in their exam would like to try again?. Can they apply directly to the schools where there is surplus seat and re-appear for the test? Or, they will have to now wait and try for 12+?

Many thanks in advance

I know there is late application for people moving into the area, but I don't know about those who suddenly decide they would like to go to a Bucks GS. They should look on the BucksCC website, I'm sure it says there.

The ones who didn't get 121 can't try again, but they can take the 12 plus next year.
