Please confirm I'm not completely misunderstanding?

I've downloaded (& paid for) a copy "Dynamite Educational Publishers Verbal reasoning multiple choice paper three" as a taster for my kids to try out.... the answer to one of the questions doesn't seem right to me though... could someone confirm I'm not completely mad please?

Find the two words, one from each group, that are opposite or nearly opposite in meaning

Q56. (doll, artificial, manmade) (colourings, plastic, genuine)

Now, the obvious pairing to me is artificial and genuine, yet the answer sheet says....... artificial and plastic?

Am I missing some obvious explanation for this one please?

It doesn't make sense for any of the meanings of Artificial and Plastic that I know.
In fact plastic in one of its definitions can be "looking artificial" - so perhaps this question should be in the "Find the closest in meaning."

I would also have chosen artificial and genuine.

I have found the odd error in all the practice packs we used. A couple of maths questions which even my Uncle (professor in mathematics) said could not be printed correctly. Some of those "odd ones out" where there was more than one possible interpretation etc.

Can I query something else too? I had a friend do this one and we both came up with the same answer

My instinct is to take Y and go right two to get A, and likewise take B and go left two getting Z presuming you add on to the alphabet like this....

W X Y Z A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z A B C D

However, the answer is given as WD meaning you don't follow the JM to HO theory but do the opposite? Is it a rule that if the alphabet runs out you then go backwards?

I just need to make sure I get it straight in my head before I try and explain it to the kids....

I would have said artificial and genuine, looks like they have chosen 2 words closest in meaning?
