COLFES: V WORRIED
I have heard that entry into the Senior School from the prep school is not guaranteed and that any student who they don't think will pass is given the "nod" in year 5.
Does anyone have any experience direct or indirect re this that they would be willing to share?
Thanks a million!

I have not heard of anyone not getting into the Senior School from the prep. Whether you take up the place or not is a different matter. The entrance exam is pretty straightforward - English comprehension and essay and a maths exam (not multiple choice). They have examples on their website. My child was not at the prep school but I've heard that they do quite a bit of exam practice in the form of test paper homework in the months leading up to the test in January.
You don't say which year your DC is in - it may be worth talking to their teacher for clarification and advice.
