Tutor Advice Please

Hi, im new on this forum but have been a regular reader. Im looking into a tutor for my son (y4) and have no idea where to start!! Does anyone have any advice for me and also could anyone recommend someone in Southend? Would prefer to hear personal views rather than just take someone off a list. Many thanks in advance.
