help me please
Hi,
I met a problem (Secondary Selection Portfolio Pack2 paper 6) which is difficult to understand the answer.
The question is:
AE is to IO as BC is to (?)
The answer in the answer sheet says DF.
Anyone can explain how it works.
Thanks.

Re: help me please
AE (both vowels) to IO ( next in series of vowels) AEIOU
BC ( consonants) DF ( next in series of consonants)BCDFGH
well that was my thought anyway

Re: help me please
I agree....A is to the next vowel after E as its been used, therefore I, and E is therefore to O, hence B is to the next consonant that hasn't been used, D, and C is to F

Re: help me please
that is a nasty one
Re: help me please
I think it is sneaky as it does not follow the more typical rules for this type but I guess you would either see the pattern or not and I guess that is what VR is supposed to be about.
Re: help me please
Do these come up in Bucks VR ?????

Yes, they do!
One would normally expect:
AE to IO
BC to JM
(A to I is +8 so B +8 is J
and E to O is +10 so C +10 is M)
Well, that's how I see it.
