can you opt to go through clearing
HELP
My DD is looking at his options post his A2.
Is it a good idea , to opt for clearing, if the A2 results are better than predicted?

The adjustment process covers this, I think rather than clearing.

Re: can you opt to go through clearing
It is possible to 'be released' from your university but not until post results day (and they can refuse and force you into re-applying the following year). DD's friend missed her firm's grades, didn't want to go to her insurance but did manage to get 'released' by them and go through clearing for another more preferred option. It was painful, took a week or so and ultimately there is no guarantee (necessarily) of a place through clearing as many of the better courses get snapped up quite quickly. That said there are many good courses at reputable universities up for grabs through clearing! Good luck.
...And yes, 'adjustment' is for those with better than expected grades.
