TWGGS PE kit

The booklet from the school says all items are to have embroidered
Initials on the outside.

How large do they need to be and where do most people put the initials.

Is this really necessary as my sewing skills are not too good?

It's worth asking Simmonds whether they do an embroidery service.

My kids GS wanted certain items embroidered (science overall etc ) - the uniform shop did it for a about £2 each item... worth it as I always seem to stab myself when trying to embroider

I have two daughters at TWGGS and their PE kit has been embroidered with initials, mostly under the TWGGS logo on the kit (if it has it). It is useful because then teachers can tell if a girl is wearing someone else's kit but my oldest says that most of her year group now (Y9) don't have their kit embroidered. Simmonds do an embroidery service but I didn't use it as my mum likes sewing (phew!).

Look on the bright side - when I was at TWGGS your full name had to be embroidered on your science overall. My first name is nine letters long, and I was a very small eleven year old so the embroidered name ended up going under the armpit and on to teh back - LOL!
